Job Description

About the role

We are seeking both experienced cellar hands and those new to winery operations to join our team.

Working with our Operations Team, you will assist with the creating, processing and despatch of our amazing wines.  Reporting to the Cellar Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Vintage related tasks such as operating our crusher, press and clarification equipment
  • Ensuring quality wine production through efficient performance of cellar operations tasks
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of cellar operations process and equipment operation outcomes
  • General cellar including additions and transfers
  • Clarification including Centrifuge/RDV and Cross flow filtration operations
  • Maintain good housekeeping practices, cleaning and other duties as required
  • Play an active role in the Workplace Health and Safety, Environmental Sustainability and Food Safety compliance
  • Entering and working in confined spaces
  • Working at heights which includes regular access to and climbing of stairs and catwalks

Desired Skills and Experience

To be successful in for these roles you will need to be able to demonstrate the following:

  • You like working in a social team environment and have sound communication, literacy and numeracy skills
  • You like to be organised and are great at having multiple things on the go at once
  • You are physically fit and enjoy the outdoors
  • You have basic computer skills and can follow touch screen directions 
  • You have the ability to follow instructions, procedures and safe work practices 
  • You are able to work on a rotating roster of Day and Night Shifts during Vintage periods
  • Current Drivers License
  • Knowledge of Food Safety, Work Health and Safety and Quality Control desirable but not essential
  • No previous winery experience required
